Fertalise every 6-8 weeks with a granular fertaliser.
* In the early SPRING months, your lawn wakes up from dormancy. This is an ideal time for fertilising with high nitrogen (N) to boost growth.
* Late spring is ideal for a second application with more phosphorus (P) to encourage root growth.
* Fertalising during early summer can help your grass withstand the heat stress.
* Late Summer's ideal to apply again (February)
As the temperatures cool down in early autumn, (MARCH) your lawn shifts its focus from top growth to root development.
Applying a balanced fertiliser at this time will help strengthen the roots, making your grass more resilient in the coming months.
FERTALISATION FROM .40 cents per metre
The best time to control weeds in your lawn is during late winter to early spring (July to September), when most common weeds like bindii and dandelions are actively growing.
Spray them before they start setting seeds, allowing you to stop the spread.
A non selective herbicide kills all plants that it makes contact with (Glyphosate)
* ideal for garden beds, pathways, rocky areas, tiles & driveways
A selective herbicide is safe for use on the lawn, killing weeds only and not the turf, if applied correctly
Army grubs and black beetle can decimate an entire lawn within days!
Treat your lawn with a knock down application, followed by a second residual application 5 days later.
Spray for lawn grubs in late spring / early summer, This is when grubs are susceptible to pesticides being in their earliest developmental stage
You can aerate at any time of the year, but if you do so in the cooler months just keep in mind the grass won't cover over the aerated holes as it is dormant.
Always try to aerate at the same time you are fertilising or performing any other major lawn care operation such as dethatching and top dressing.
A wetting agent is like a detergent or surfactant that attracts water to the soil’s surface. Applying a wetting agent will help the water soak into the soil, making the water available to your lawn’s roots. It will help increase the soil’s ability to hold nutrients and help increase the drought tolerance of your lawn so it can sand up to the hot summer days.
* Hydrophobic lawns will pool water at the soils surface and struggle to let the moisture soak down into the soil base
* Dry patches or heat stressed turf can present in patches rather than across the whole lawn.
Wetting agents are best applied when the temperatures are cooler, either in the morning or afternoon. Repeated applications can be made every few months on an as needed basis
